In __pthread_manager_event() we also have to drop the return statement, else gcc will in turn complain about a non-returning function having one. There is code in ldconfig that checks to see if a shared library is named either ``lib*'' or ``ld-*'' before ldconfig -l will work on it. gawk uses this feature of ldconfig to make /lib/rcscripts/filefuncs.so, so the build fails.
