2005-10-20only include libc-tsd.h if we have threads supportMike Frysinger
2005-10-12Remove /dev/erandom support, as [h]lfs does not use it in this form.Peter S. Mazinger
2005-10-12Rewrote almost all Makefiles: do not use strip $(x),y; run strip on all ↵Peter S. Mazinger
objects at once; use :=//$</$^; use CRT_SRC/CRT_OBJ/SCRT_OBJ/CSRC/COBJ/SSRC/SOBJ/MSRC/MOBJ where no more is needed, if only CSRC is present use OBJS directly instead of COBJ; CTOR_TARGETS are created directly in lib; remove unused/unneeded parts. Hope I haven't broken too much.
2005-10-11Do not defer expansions where useless, like CSRC/OBJS/LIB_NAME/AR_LIB_NAME, ↵Peter S. Mazinger
defer only for shared lib related stuff, because it is optional. Run STRIPTOOL only once. More use of /$^/$<.
2005-10-11Allow building uClibc w/ make-3.79.1 if SSP is disabledPeter S. Mazinger
2005-10-08User strong_alias instead of initializing __guard separatelyPeter S. Mazinger
2005-10-05oops, missed a spotEric Andersen
2005-10-05merge additional license cruft from glibcMike Frysinger
2005-10-04Do not stub out functions for mmu-less systems. Hide allEric Andersen
prototypes for functions disabled on mmu-less systems.
2005-10-04One more addition."Steven J. Hill"
2005-10-04Clean up pthread include mess. Some of these will be needed to support NPTL, ↵"Steven J. Hill"
but they do no harm for the linuxthreads case. Yes, I tested this.
2005-10-03Enable attribute_relro on __guard and __stack_chk_guard now that ld.so ↵Peter S. Mazinger
supports it
2005-10-01Change the order in which '__uClibc_init' is called. In the case of NPTL, ↵"Steven J. Hill"
some auxillary TLS set up has to happen beforehand. This has been tested for almost two months now and I am tired of chasing it around in my merges. Look in the NPTL trunk if you want more information.
2005-10-01Add gcc-4.1 non-TLS __stack_chk_guard support. Run the guard setup only once.Peter S. Mazinger
2005-09-29Add .type _init/_fini unconditionally to arm/crt1.SPeter S. Mazinger
2005-09-28Build crt[in].o with disabled ssp.Peter S. Mazinger
2005-09-28arm/crt1.S needs features.h and the weak _init/_fini independently of ↵Peter S. Mazinger
__PIC__. Add these weaks to mips/crt1.S as well.
2005-09-28Oops, libc.a didn't got installedPeter S. Mazinger
2005-09-28Remove ar-target and shared targets, at build time now we traverse the tree ↵Peter S. Mazinger
only once. Generalize all toplevel makefiles. Make sure, that libdl.so is built against libc.so and not libc.a
2005-09-27Provide atexit() for static buildsPeter S. Mazinger
2005-09-27Speed up clean target, don't recurse where possible, remove unneeded actionsPeter S. Mazinger
2005-09-26Add __cxa_atexit and __cxa_finalize, thanks to Stephen Warren. This patch ↵Peter S. Mazinger
breaks compatibility with existing binaries, unless the new COMPAT_ATEXIT option is enabled.
2005-09-23Do not build __uClibc_main.o with ssp enabledPeter S. Mazinger
2005-09-23Changed ssp.c license to LGPL and added vapier as contributorPeter S. Mazinger
2005-09-23New ssp code using syscalls where possible.Peter S. Mazinger
Moved guard_setup to __uClibc_main.c, the only place where it is called. Removed SIGKILL option, not usable with sigaction.
2005-09-22no check needed in libm/libpthread, we do not recurse anymore if the related ↵Peter S. Mazinger
option is not set, more Makefile cleanups
2005-09-22weaks moved after the related function so gcc4 won't warnPeter S. Mazinger
2005-09-22Makefile cleanupsPeter S. Mazinger
2005-09-21include headers only if the related option is enabledPeter S. Mazinger
2005-09-21enable flockfile and friends if threads are not enabledPeter S. Mazinger
2005-09-21correct some typosPeter S. Mazinger
2005-09-21'pthread.h' is not the only file that needs to be symlinked. When NPTL gets ↵"Steven J. Hill"
merged, you will need to do 'semaphore.h' and 'bits/pthreadtypes.h'. I think I have been a good little boy and keeping my NPTL changes out of mainline, so I'm going to go ahead and cross the line this once to get this change in.

2005-09-17Add atomic support for PPC.Joakim Tjernlund
Merge glibc bits/atomic.h powerpc32/bits/atomic.h powerpc64/bits/atomic.h into one file
2005-09-17Change to glibc way of defining syscalls. This should make PPCJoakim Tjernlund
compile with gcc 4.0/4.1
2005-09-16make sure we treat count as size_t, not ssize_t ... fixes with help from khemMike Frysinger
2005-09-16syntax/whitespace touchupsMike Frysinger
2005-09-08punt _DL_FINI_CRT_COMPAT option now that 0.9.28 has been releasedMike Frysinger
2005-09-08Fix by Martin Schlemmer:Mike Frysinger
If _DL_FINI_CRT_COMPAT is defined, _dl_fini is setup to run at exit via atexit(), but this makes it run _before_ the fini (__app_fini()) of the app, causing stuff like sandbox that frees structs, etc via its fini to segfault. http://bugs.gentoo.org/98187
2005-09-07grab a tiny mmap implementation from glibcMike Frysinger
2005-09-07make sure the syscall mmap func isnt exportedMike Frysinger
2005-09-05fix string functions to not treat the size_t as ssize_tMike Frysinger
2005-08-29anemo writes in Bug 9: use ElfW(auxv_t) instead of Elf32_auxv_tMike Frysinger
2005-08-27asierllano writes in bug 370:Joakim Tjernlund
The gcc compiler has deprecated the type __uint128 for 32-bits platforms. Due to the fact that this type was introduced in gcc-3.1 it is better to drop its use. (glibc has the same problem and uses this same solution).
2005-08-26Frank Mehnert writes:Mike Frysinger
libc/misc/time/time.c does not compile if __UCLIBC_HAS_TZ_FILE__ is disabled but __UCLIBC_HAS_TZ_CACHING__ is enabled. The following patch fixes this issue.
2005-08-26import sparc-optimized string functions from glibcMike Frysinger
