Note: _PATH_UTMPX == _PATH_UTMP and the utmp struct is identical to the utmpx struct so this only changes the external API entrypoints and NOT the underlying data source. 2013-04-01linux: pread/write: convert to SYSCALL_ALIGN_64BITMike Frysinger
The pread64/write64 syscalls have the 64bit register align issue for all arches. Use this new define so we can merge the powerc/xtensa versions back into the common code. SuperH is funky and also allows us to do this. We should be able to merge the mips version too, but that'll require someone to take a closer look as the current stuff doesn't look quite right. The reason truncate64 takes 4 args on some arches is that their ABI requires 64bit values to be aligned on register pair boundaries. Since this alignment affects more than just truncate64, rename the define to properly document its purpose. Linux 3.4 added __kernel_long_t and __kernel_ulong_t and various exported header files were updated to use these new types. Add the definitions for __kernel_long_t and __kernel_ulong_t to the relevant kernel_types.h headers. This change was automated with the following scriptlet git grep --name-only 'typedef.*__kernel_old_dev_t' \ | xargs sed -i '/typedef.*__kernel_old_dev_t/ a\ typedef long\t\t__kernel_long_t;\ typedef unsigned long\t__kernel_ulong_t;' Whitespace in arm, avr32, hppa, sparc was then manually fixed up. 2010-02-09nptl: sysdep headers re-factoringCarmelo Amoroso
This patch will re-factor and simplify sysdep headers handling for nptl branch. The reason is to use some useful macros in asm code (i.e. ENTRY()) that are available only into nptl branch because are defined in sysdep.h header under the nptl folder even if they are not related to NPTL at all (this was likely due to a bad choice done at the early stage of NPTL porting). This is a required steps for integrating into master branch some asm code available in nptl branch for sh4. The main changes are described below: nptl/sysdeps/generic/sysdep.h (moved) ---> libc/sysdeps/linux/common/sysdep.h nptl/sysdeps/arm/sysdep.h (moved) ---> libc/sysdeps/linux/arm/sysdep.h nptl/sysdeps/sh/sysdep.h ---------------------| nptl/sysdeps/unix/sh/sysdep.h ----------------| nptl/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/sh/sysdep.h -----| nptl/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/sh/sh4/sysdep.h -| |(merged) ---> libc/sysdeps/linux/sh nptl/sysdeps/unix/sysdep.h (deleted) Similarly the mips and arm sysdep.h should be merged and updated as for sh arch.
