2002-01-06Support tmpfile64 (just a weak for tmpfile)Eric Andersen
-Erik
2001-12-19Update my email address. I am no longer andersen@lineo.comEric Andersen
2001-11-21Add missing ctermid. Also add putc and getc (in case they getEric Andersen
undefined which is a valid thing to do) -Erik
2001-10-17This commit makes large file support actually work (when enabled inEric Andersen
the config file). I've tested this and it works for me. -Erik
2001-09-30Fix nasty behavior difference from glibc -- also fixes getline()Eric Andersen

2001-09-27Update to accomodate the header file changesEric Andersen
2001-09-25Fix fseek behavior.Manuel Novoa III
2001-08-28Fix goofy formattingEric Andersen
2001-08-24Use "stdin", "stdout", and "stderr", not "_stdin", "_stdout", andEric Andersen
"_stderr", since this is what gcc and libgcc expect... -Erik
2001-08-24Add the __fopen prototype, since I pulled it from stdio.hEric Andersen
2001-08-09Add in changes from philipc@lineo:David McCullough
Fix three bugs and bring into line with glibc: 1. The first character read using getc() was being ignored if it was EOF. Normally this is okay because the next getc() returns EOF as well, but for sscanf, this was causing us to skip the null terminator and start scanning whatever happened to be next in memory. 2. %s, %c, and %[ formats now return -1 if EOF is reached before any characters are read, instead of 0. This was causing an infinite loop in diald. 3. Default to base 10 for %i fields if not prefix modifier present.
2001-07-28Oops... left in a debugging line.Manuel Novoa III
2001-07-28Back out the changes to _uClibc_fread and loop in fread() if incomplete, toManuel Novoa III
avoid problems with fgets on tty streams. I actually did some testing this time. ;-) Note: there is a difference in behavior between glibc and uClibc here regarding fread() on a tty stream. glibc's fread() seems to return after reading all _available_ data even if not at end-of-file, while uClibc's fread() continues reading until all requested or eof or error. The latter behavior seems correct w.r.t. the standards.
2001-07-26Yes... the previous "fix" was broken too... the result of careless cuttingManuel Novoa III
and pasting while pressed for time. I haven't checked this one either. :-(
2001-07-25Ok... the fix wasn't quite so straightforward. Hopefully this will do it.Manuel Novoa III
2001-07-25Fix fread bug reported by Vodz. The fix is straightforward, but I haven'tManuel Novoa III
tested it (lack of time).
2001-06-13Fix printf so that %p outputs "(nil)" for (void *) 0, to match glibc behavior.Manuel Novoa III
2001-06-13Fix printf handling of %p to prepend "0x" since output is in hex.Manuel Novoa III
Note: glibc output for (void *)0 is "(nil)" while uClibc output is "0". Does anyone have a preference?
2001-06-07Commit _uClibc_fread bug fix (with minor edit) posted by Johan Adolfsson ↵Manuel Novoa III
<johan.adolfsson@axis.com>.
2001-05-31Cleanup some stupid warningsEric Andersen
2001-05-21Add comment about scanf pushback behavior and glibc difference.Manuel Novoa III
2001-05-17Add in tempnam()Eric Andersen
2001-05-12Ok, this should finish off my massive ro-organization. The sourceEric Andersen
tree is less messy now (which helps), all libraries are placed into uClibc/lib when compiling, all libraries now use a consistant mechanism for being built, all libraries use a consistant naming scheme where the lib name includes the uClibc version number, which makes ldconfig happy and willing to work with us. -Erik
2001-05-07Fix fwrite return value bug reported by Matthias Kilian ↵Manuel Novoa III
<kili@outback.escape.de>.
2001-05-07A couple of printf fixes from Johan Adolfsson (johan.adolfsson@axis.com).Manuel Novoa III
2001-04-25Be really sneaky and use GNU ld special stuff so that whenever folksEric Andersen
use the unsafe gets, they will get a warning from the linker. muahahaha. This method will soon be applied to fork() w/o an mmu etc... -Erik
2001-04-18Update temp file handling and use a single function to do allEric Andersen
the heavy lifting (most of the heavy lifting stolen from glibc, but reduced a bit).
2001-04-06Fix include/errno.h to not use kernel header, and instead use bits/errno.h.Eric Andersen
This required we use _LIBC instead of __LIBC__ to be consistent with glibc. This had some sideffects in sys/syscalls.h. While fixing things, I made everything use __set_errno() for (eventual) thread support. -Erik
2001-03-23Bug fix from Peter Kjellerstedt <Peter.Kjellerstedt@axis.com>.Manuel Novoa III
2001-03-19Since Erik apparently wants def/undef vs def 1/0...Manuel Novoa III
2001-03-18Test for Config features using features.h.Manuel Novoa III
2001-03-17Fix fdopen mode-compatibility test and errno setting.Manuel Novoa III
2001-03-15Fix bug with %c... takes care of bug reported with busybox ps.Manuel Novoa III
2001-03-13New version of scanf, with floating point support.Manuel Novoa III
2001-03-13Delete a stray character that hopped into the file...Manuel Novoa III
2001-03-12Hack long long support into scanf. For now, will fail for unsigned long longsManuel Novoa III
that are greater that long long max, but works well enough to support interface in busybox. Just a temporary measure until scanf.c is rewritten.
2001-03-07Fix a bad assertion test.Manuel Novoa III
2001-03-03Fix a couple of bugs: check mode is legal; open file and check success beforeManuel Novoa III
calling vfork.
2001-03-01Stupid buglet fix. Don't trash FILE bufstart if buffer allocation fails.Manuel Novoa III
2001-02-28Fix a buglet regarding floating point output for ?nprintf functions.Manuel Novoa III
2001-02-27stdio mostly rewritten... passes lots of tests now.Manuel Novoa III
printf now supports long double, plus some bug fixes.
2001-02-19Fix a couple of bugs in _fopen and fclose, plus change a few internals.Manuel Novoa III
2001-02-19Lots of stdio cleanups. Several bug fixes, addition of a number of functionsManuel Novoa III
to supplement macros in stdio.h, change perror to use stdio package instead of "write". Also add back in weak stdio initialization for static lib case.
2001-02-15Add vdprintf function. Note: will be rewritten to check if file descriptor ↵Manuel Novoa III
has an associated FILE to avoid bad interactions with buffered output, but needed for busybox right now and that implementation has the same bug.
2001-02-15Fix stdin/stdout/stderr for now.Manuel Novoa III
2001-02-09Remove now irrelevant comment.Eric Andersen
2001-02-09Silence warnings -- add func declaration.Eric Andersen
-Erik
2001-02-09Revert stdio to initializing itself. Not quite a pretty but that ensures thatEric Andersen
we don't blow up by using too much stack space, and simplifies the job of supporting new architectures, since they don't have to mess with calling foo init functions in crt0 and cleaning up the resulting damage. -Erik
2001-01-30Fix a couple of bugs in printf. Add floating pt output for doubles. Yeah!Manuel Novoa III
Modified stdio/Makefile to build printf.c according to Config values for HAS_FLOATS and HAS_LONG_LONG.
2001-01-28Really fixed 0-pad bug this time. ;-) Code-size reductions if sizeof(int) andManuel Novoa III
sizeof(long) equal. printf # flag now works for b (binary) specifier.
