2015-03-25utmp: favour POSIX utmpx over SVID utmpBernhard Reutner-Fischer
Note: _PATH_UTMPX == _PATH_UTMP and the utmp struct is identical to the utmpx struct so this only changes the external API entrypoints and NOT the underlying data source. This saves about 500b (~1300b from previously ~1950) while at it. Signed-off-by: Bernhard Reutner-Fischer <rep.dot.nop@gmail.com>
2015-03-24Revert "utent.c, wtent.c: move functions from utxent.c"Bernhard Reutner-Fischer
This reverts commit 84135275cfeebc0b233c1c96eeada4d4178a0b18. This change is said to make systemd deadlock (cannot reproduce this) Signed-off-by: Bernhard Reutner-Fischer <rep.dot.nop@gmail.com> Conflicts: include/utmp.h
2012-11-18drop support for pre ISO-C compilersMike Frysinger
This drops __signed, __volatile, and __const. Only the latter was used in the code base, and for uClibc, not consistently. Much of the code used plain "const" which meant "__const" was useless. Really, the point of this is to stay in sync with what glibc did. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
2012-11-18Replace FSF snail mail address with URLsMike Frysinger
This matches a similar change made to glibc. No functional changes here. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>

2011-12-03getutid: add a hidden defMike Frysinger
The pututline func calls getutid, so add a hidden def for it to avoid plt relocs: $ readelf -r lib/libc.so.0 ... Relocation section '.rela.plt' at offset 0xb058 contains 11 entries: Offset Info Type Sym. Value Sym. Name + Addend 000000236000 01cf00000007 R_X86_64_JUMP_SLO 00000000000190ab getutid + 0 ... 2004-10-07uClibc does not support getutent_r, getutid_r, and getutline_r,Eric Andersen
and SuSv3 does not require r specify them. So kill the prototypes.
2001-09-27Rev all the header files to sync things with glibc 2.2.4Eric Andersen
2001-07-11Added __BEGIN_DECLS and __END_DECLS to the files that didn't haveDavid McCullough
it and that I could see needed it. Should be pretty low impact as these are only defined when using C++.
2001-05-08Add in libutil, based on Cory Visi's variant of Michael Shmulevich's libutilEric Andersen
port. I have reworked the code quite a bit so that the stuff that is supposed to be in libc is in libc, and I added a bunch of missing stuff so the libutil interface matches that of glibc's libutil. The only caveat is that libutil/login.c is currently a stub. -Erik
2001-04-06Fix include/errno.h to not use kernel header, and instead use bits/errno.h.Eric Andersen
This required we use _LIBC instead of __LIBC__ to be consistent with glibc. This had some sideffects in sys/syscalls.h. While fixing things, I made everything use __set_errno() for (eventual) thread support. -Erik
2001-03-19Add a sneaky backwards compat hack from Michael ShmulevichEric Andersen
