2011-06-11ARM: detect BX availibility at build timeYann E. MORIN
The "use BX" option is now a suggestion that BX be used if available. Use a macro to detect if BX is available at build time. If so, and the user requested it be used, then use it. 2011-06-11ARM: remove sub-arch/variants selection from menuconfigYann E. MORIN
Rely on the compiler to be correctly set up to generate appropriate code for the target variant. This exposes the Thumb option, as it is no longer auto-selected. Add three new blind options to set use of Thumb mode: - COMPILE_IN_THUMB_MODE - if set, CFLAGS will contain -mthumb - if unset, the compiler's default is used - HAS_THUMB - CPUS with Thumb instruction set can select this - use of BX depends on this - FORCE_THUMB - CPUs that are Thumb-only must select this - this selects: HAS_THUMB, COMPILE_IN_THUMB_MODE and USE_BX Also, remove leading space in Rules.mak. "Use BX" is not available on all CPUs, so the option depends on a correct CPU to be chosen . It is weird that e BX" then appears _above_ the CPU selection, not below. 2010-09-15libubacktrace: Provide uClibc with backtrace functionsSalvatore Cro
A new shared object, libubacktrace.so.0 is added to uClibc to provide backtrace functions to support application self-debugging. This set of functions requires to dynamically load libgcc_s.so so they need to call dlopen/dlsym that are provided by libdl. For this reason they cannot be included into libc.so.0 but are provided by a new library. 2010-05-05Fix gen_wc8bit support for finding a UTF8 locale on host.Andy Gibbs
gen_wc8bit was previously patched to support UTF8 locales other than the default en_US.UTF-8 by patch id 0e14b8f425c562749d3821a42414b1ce6b3b0923. This was incomplete in its implementation and still failed where item(s) in the list returned by 'locale -a' already had 'UTF8' appended to the name. This patch rectifies this situation, plus adds an extra fix to avoid trimming '\n' from an empty line which could cause a segfault. On hardened system it could be useful to disable the use of LD_PRELOAD environment variable for preloading shared objects before the system libraries. So this patch add a config option, LDSO_PRELOAD_ENV_SUPPORT, to control this behaviour. It is enabled by default.
