2003-06-24Several more cleanupsEric Andersen
2003-06-24Fix indenting for real this time.Eric Andersen
2003-06-24Make indenting be consistantEric Andersen
2003-06-24Rename the very badly named 'UCLIBC_GCC' to 'UCLIBC_ENV' andEric Andersen
implement 'UCLIBC_CC', which does this: $ UCLIBC_CC=gcc-2.95 /usr/i386-linux-uclibc/bin/i386-uclibc-gcc --version 2.95.4 $ UCLIBC_CC=gcc-3.3 /usr/i386-linux-uclibc/bin/i386-uclibc-gcc --version gcc-3.3 (GCC) 3.3 (Debian) Copyright (C) 2003 Free Software Foundation, Inc. 2003-06-24Change 'undefined behavior' of fflush() on readonly or reading streamsManuel Novoa III
to match that of current glibc; i.e. don't do anything and return success. Apparently, php calls fflush() on a file opened as readonly before trying to read. Eventually I'll add some config options to flag this and several other instances of nonportable code.
2003-06-24Make login actually write out utmp and wtmp junk (evenEric Andersen
though such things are completly unreliable crap)
2003-06-18Be extra careful to memset the correct size, not the size of some randomEric Andersen
pointer. Fix printing of '0x0x' in ldd output. Simplify discrimination of libname, so doing things like dlopen("./libfoo.so",RTLD_NOW) with a leading "./" in the path will work as expected. -Erik
2003-06-17Optionally support the struct tm extension fields.Manuel Novoa III
Add a few misc functions mentioned in time.h. Revert davidm's change regarding using a define for the "/etc/TZ" path, as this is eventually meant to be a configurable extension and not unconditionally supported.
2003-06-17Patch from Ronald Wahl fixing an IPV6 specific problemEric Andersen
with getaddrinfo().
2003-06-17When compiling with -O0, linuxthreads does not compile. So addEric Andersen
a local override changing -O0 to -O1 only for that directory.
2003-06-17Coldfire patch from Bernardo InnocentiEric Andersen
2003-06-17Ok... pasting in DUMPn() is unnecessary and technically incorrect.Manuel Novoa III
2003-06-16As noted by Peter S. MazingerEric Andersen
After removal of stropts.h none of the files references bits/stropts.h, so it can be removed. Peter
2003-06-16For some strange reason, davidm put this file in the wrong spot.Eric Andersen
So put it where it is supposed to be. -Erik
2003-06-16Fix a segfault when used on a library w/o an INTERP program header.Eric Andersen
2003-06-16Add memmem().Manuel Novoa III
2003-06-15Don't segfault when given things other than a regular file.Eric Andersen
-Erik
2003-06-15Implement syscall() for powerpc. Fixup syscall code soEric Andersen
it compiles properly with gcc 3.3. -Erik
2003-06-14Comment out the rpl_malloc workaround. It was a good idea, but it violatesEric Andersen
namespace guarantees and conflicts with other programs that have used the AC_FUNC_MALLOC autoconf macro properly.
2003-06-14Bump version number in preparation for a releaseEric Andersen
2003-06-12The mere presence of stropts.h causes many configure scripts to erroneouslyEric Andersen
believe that uClibc supports STREAMS. Well, we don't. So I am hereby removing this header file, since it was empty anyways. Applications that depend on stropts.h being present, but do not depend on its contents, are broken anyways. -Erik
2003-06-12As suggested by Marshall M. Midden at brecis, use -mno-split-addressesEric Andersen
instead for mips, which should be a bit faster and will be safer too.
2003-06-12Set the default thread stack size to 16k for mmu-less systems.Eric Andersen
-Erik
2003-06-12Fix mips so it compiles with gcc 3.3Eric Andersen
2003-06-11Marshall M. Midden at brecis.com writes:Eric Andersen
The gnu ld and binutils for mips has a bug with relocation. It is possible for a relocation table to be created that is not able to be loaded correctly. We found this with the intersil wireless driver port. To enable a correctly created mips relocation table (either a .o, or ld -r) it is necessary to turn off one of the instruction re-scheduling passes. Specifically, on mips-gcc -fno-schedule-insns2 is needed. This is an FYI. The bug has been reported to the appropriate mailing lists. This patch is an effort to avoid this problem on mips. -Erik
2003-06-11Fix arm syscall implementation so it does not blow chunks with gcc 3.3Eric Andersen
-Erik
2003-06-05Patch from Peter S. Mazinger to make the get-needed-libgcc-objectsEric Andersen
script work with newer binutils versions.
2003-06-05We do not provide getfsent and friends, so remove this headerEric Andersen
file, to prevent stupid configure scripts from getting confused.
2003-06-03Kill the runtime fallback to fork and make it be compile timeEric Andersen
2003-06-03Fix brokenEric Andersen
2003-06-02Patch from Peter S. Mazinger to fix some leftover problemsEric Andersen
from converting "PIC" to "__PIC__"
2003-05-30Clone still had a few little PIC problems....Eric Andersen
2003-05-30In a number of places we erroneously used tests such as '#ifdef PIC' when weEric Andersen
should instead have been testing for '#ifdef __PIC__'. This resulted in NON-PIC code getting mixed into the shared library. Oops!!! -Erik
2003-05-30Enable ADD_LIBGCC_FUNCTIONS by default on armEric Andersen
2003-05-29Eviscerate stropts.h so configure scripts won't try to use STREAMSEric Andersen
garbage. uClibc does not support STREAMS in any way whatsoever. -Erik
2003-05-28Allow gcc to move/update by detecting where needed files are shouldEric Andersen
they move/disappear from the expected location. -Erik
2003-05-28Accomodate building under cygwinEric Andersen
2003-05-27grr. It's a void *, not a char *.Eric Andersen
2003-05-27Change 'N' to '__size' to avoid conflicts with common #define of NEric Andersen
2003-05-23Sorry. Changed this while fixing the last bug and forgot to change itManuel Novoa III
back. Unfortunately, none of my test cases caught it.
2003-05-23Cope with autoconf's broken AC_FUNC_MALLOC macro, which redefines malloc asEric Andersen
rpl_malloc if it does not detect glibc style returning-a-valid-pointer-for-malloc(0) behavior. This wrapper calls malloc() as usual, but if N is zero, we allocate and return a 1-byte block instead.... sigh... -Erik
2003-05-15Fix (hopefully) scanf behavior for nul bytes in the stream when processingManuel Novoa III
%c, %s, and %[ specifiers. Note that scanf is undergoing rewrite so I didn't bother optimizing this. I did run all my regression tests though. Set EOF correctly for fmemopen on readonly streams. I really need to check what glibc behavior is for the various open modes though.
2003-05-14Add in a default file for m68k.David McCullough
2003-05-14Sleep was returning the wrong value because:David McCullough
* nanosleep returns the remaining time, not the time slept * nanosleep only fills out the remaining time if it returns -1 (ie., the sleep was interrupted) Fix from Paul Dale <pauli@snapgear.com>
2003-05-08(__libc_open): Fix wacky indentation.Miles Bader
2003-05-01setjmp was trashing r12 which is bad and can cause apps to crash if they areDavid McCullough
using r12. r12 is supposed to be preserved across C function calls. r0-r7 are trashable :-)
2003-04-29Some small fixups for the h8 support and add the h8s platform support.David McCullough
2003-04-29Fixup __libc_open to use varargs and match the prototype.David McCullough
On the H8 varargs are rather unusual and if you declare a function with varargs, it had better use them or it won't work.
2003-04-29uClibc 0.9.19 has a bug in globfree(). If the previous call toEric Andersen
glob(...,pglob) used the GLOB_DOOFFS flag to reserve the first pglob->gl_offs slots of pglob->gl_pathv, globfree(pglob) would attempt to free the objects pointed to by those slots. If those objects were not on the heap, the system would crash. The attached patch fixes this. Norm
2003-04-25Comment on glibc's MALLOC_CHECK_ support.Eric Andersen
