2020-08-19Add {name, open}_to_handle_at() implementationPetr Vorel
copied from musl 1.2.1. Signed-off-by: Petr Vorel <petr.vorel@gmail.com>
2018-01-15rt: cleanup and allow to build for linuxthreadsWaldemar Brodkorb
It seems there is no real dependency to NPTL for these clock_* functions when UCLIBC_ADVANCED_REALTIME is enabled. No regressions found. Reported-by: Baruch Siach <baruch@tkos.co.il>
2017-11-19remove unused FORTIFY code fragmentsWaldemar Brodkorb
2016-12-28add init_module/delete_module syscall wrappersWaldemar Brodkorb
Add the wrappers unconditionally, because kmod package still uses them.
2016-12-23remove UCLIBC_LINUX_MODULE_26Waldemar Brodkorb
The syscall wrappers are not required and other C libraries do not provide them. Busybox modutils.c must be patched so that syscall() is used for uClibc-ng. Signed-off-by: Waldemar Brodkorb <wbx@openadk.org>
2016-11-27remove UCLIBC_HAS_LFSWaldemar Brodkorb
2016-09-30remove linux kernel 2.4 modules supportWaldemar Brodkorb
2016-09-26use a single libc and deduplicate threading codeWaldemar Brodkorb
Similar to musl libc a single libc has many benefits and solves some open issues with uClibc-ng. - no pthread_mutex_* weak symbols exported anymore - applications no longer failing to link when either -lrt or -lpthread are missing for dynamic and static linking mode - smaller C library - slightly better runtime performance
2016-01-06extra/Configs/Config.in: add syncfs() to Linux-specific functionsAnthony G. Basile
syncfs() was recently added (commit dfa593d4d). But man sync(2) specifies that syncfs() is Linux-specific. This was overlooked in the original commit so we add it to the set of Linux-specific functions supported by uClibc. Signed-off-by: Anthony G. Basile <blueness@gentoo.org>
2015-11-08add support for euidaccess/eaccess legacy functionsWaldemar Brodkorb
Implementation taken from musl libc project. Missing functions recognized by buildroot autobuilders with failing open-vm-tools.

2015-03-22libc: add getrandom(2)Bernhard Reutner-Fischer
Introduce a <sys/random.h> for it. /* FIXME: aren't there a couple of __restrict and const missing ? */ extern int getrandom(void *__buf, size_t count, unsigned int flags) __nonnull ((1)) __wur; Signed-off-by: Bernhard Reutner-Fischer <rep.dot.nop@gmail.com>

2014-09-09libc: add fallocate() and fallocate64()Anthony G. Basile
We add the Linux-specific function fallocate() which allows the user to directly manipulate allocate space for a file. fallocate() can operate in different modes, but the default mode is equivalent to posix_fallocate() which is specified in POSIX.1. Recent releases of e2fsprogs 1.42.11 and above expect fallocate64() to be available. Signed-off-by: Anthony G. Basile <blueness@gentoo.org> Signed-off-by: Bernhard Reutner-Fischer <rep.dot.nop@gmail.com>
2014-09-05libc: split multi-source epoll.cBernhard Reutner-Fischer

2013-02-20Makefile.in: Use non-legacy interfaces for new architecturesMarkos Chandras
New architectures, which don't define ARCH_HAS_DEPRECATED syscalls, need to use the new interfaces from libc/sysdeps/linux/generic-syscalls/bits/ Signed-off-by: Markos Chandras <markos.chandras@imgtec.com> Signed-off-by: Bernhard Reutner-Fischer <rep.dot.nop@gmail.com>

This fixes 8d09a50a044638fde2ed3e1a1c4d3c7c5a3cce5c since NPTL also uses madvise internally. Signed-off-by: Bernhard Reutner-Fischer <rep.dot.nop@gmail.com>

2011-04-13buildsys: fix GNU make v3.80 compatibility againKevin Cernekee
GNU make 3.80 cannot handle "$(and)" or "$(or)" from commit 18e7136e (buildsys: use kbuild style). Replace them with ifeq/ifneq. Signed-off-by: Kevin Cernekee <cernekee@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Bernhard Reutner-Fischer <rep.dot.nop@gmail.com>
2011-03-09guard *_chk() related stuff with UCLIBC_HAS_FORTIFYPeter S. Mazinger
Guard x86_64 memset_chk/memcpy_chk be guarded by UCLIBC_HAS_FORTIFY. Compile ssp.c if one of SSP/FORTIFY is defined. Guard __chk_fail() with UCLIBC_HAS_FORTIFY and move its prototype to libc-internal.h. Disable _FORTIFY_SOURCE if UCLIBC_HAS_FORTIFY is not set. The config option itself is omitted on purpose, headers need to be reviewed and generic *_chk() functions need to be first provided. Signed-off-by: Peter S. Mazinger <ps.m@gmx.net>

2011-02-11Fix GNU make v3.80 compatibilityKevin Cernekee
Commits 1f6601a and 094d82d introduced the "else ifeq" construct, which requires GNU make v3.81 or higher. This breaks the build on RHEL4 hosts. Signed-off-by: Kevin Cernekee <cernekee@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Bernhard Reutner-Fischer <rep.dot.nop@gmail.com>

2010-10-27Fix msync() redefinition for noMMU buildBernhard Reutner-Fischer
An architecture that _may_ have a MMU (and thus implements the msync syscall), but for which the kernel and uClibc are built as noMMU, we have a stub for msync. Thanks to Steven J. Magnani for noticing. Signed-off-by: Bernhard Reutner-Fischer <rep.dot.nop@gmail.com>
2010-09-20nptl: Fix libpthread build when UCLIBC_LINUX_SPECIFIC is disabledCarmelo Amoroso
NPTL library needs both madvise and statfs symbols, that are guarded by UCLIBC_LINUX_SPECIFIC option. This fix provides these symbols too when NPTL is used, indipendently by UCLIBC_LINUX_SPECIFIC choice. Otherwise libpthread link fails as below: LD libpthread-0.9.32-git.so libpthread/nptl/libpthread_so.a(pthread_create.oS): In function `__free_tcb': pthread_create.c:(.text+0x1184): undefined reference to `madvise' libpthread/nptl/libpthread_so.a(sem_open.oS): In function `__where_is_shmfs': sem_open.c:(.text+0x764): undefined reference to `statfs' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [lib/libpthread.so] Error 1 Signed-off-by: Carmelo Amoroso <carmelo.amoroso@st.com>
2010-09-15libc: Fix cancellation handling in some C functionsSalvatore Cro
According to POSIX.1-2008 standard, the following syscalls shall be cancellation points : waitid, sleep, fdatasync, ppoll. Further, if generic syscall is not available and stubs are configured, provide the stub implementation for function.
